Opening A Second Second Server by Jaoe1000

Things you will need:
1. Two seperate hosts (One with both Account Server and a MsgServer and the one with just a Msg Server)
2. One MySQL server with one Account database and TWO MsgServer databases(named differently)

What you need to do:
1. Add a second set of entries to you account.ini file for your Account Server
[Account2]
SERVERNAME=SERVERNAME
LOGINNAME=test
PASSWORD=test
FREE_DEBUG=3
2. Configure your MsgServers to connect to the seperate databases.
3. Set each MsgServer to their external ip address.
4. Have both MsgServers connect to the same Account Server.
5. In you oem file just put the ip address for the account server.
This is kinda rough instructions but hopefully you get the idea. What this does is gives you the ability to have two different servers that run off of the same account server so players will only need to register one account to access both servers.

but why don't we make 2 windows user accounts instead of having 2 hosts then u can run 1 msg on each user ( by using switch user options ) [ and that what tq made ]

I have not tried that method. It may or may not work. But I had the most success using multiple hosts. I didn't want the host stressed by two servers since I had already blown one NIC card on my personal PC.

spy your method will lag the **** out of a PC chewing ram and cpu usage since you will also have the thread that is used for multiple accounts active on top of all the others, not to mention all the local system threads will be 2x up on too

lmao did you seriously just say that? if you have little free ram then downloading and uploading is caped to what ever can be passed through the ram
then if cpu is chewed at big time thats less cpu for the msg server etc or the sql db lol..

2GB of ram is rarely on basic systems availble from shops these days, 2GB will barely support a character base of 5k, and thats for 1 server
hell my personal computer has 4GB of ram and once the 64bit vista my brother has is tweaked right I will have 8GB,
