Activity in calculating sucks. Stars should be a user experience and reliability meter not activity. Wat when someone will be unable to login? Proportion of Posts and received thanks should be calculated to.
If someone have 5934 posts and 100 thanks means he/she are posting only to have high number.

They fixed that, now in order for the registration date to take a big part they have to be really active.
