I'd like to see a global curency system I.E they can exchange PVP for tickets and when a certain ammount is collected they can exchange the "item/ticket" for unique pieces

no no pk point , when you kill someone you got ip exapme : ip 50 or (more-less)
and if you dont whant to wait, you need get in town in df or someware ware you can got when in pk when yo go in user panel and clear those ip points

NEW SYSTEM IDEA (1):
Credits: This type of currency can be used for buying coins, ingame items, etc
Items that cant be sold ingame, and can be used in OSDS Shop
- Admins can setup their own items that can be sold in the OSDS shop.
--- Weapons, armor, items, etc...
- Admins can setup to get some free credits if they register a new account
- Credits will be NON transferable to other account (Prevents new registers to get even more free credits)
- Admins can give credits to players at any given time (No need to logout)
- Credits will not be used ingame
- Purchase system: Paypal, ... etc
- Credits can be used to buy coins for use of the D-Shop

Secret Number: Private key that will allow users to change the following:
- Change Email
- Change Password
- Buy Credits
- Use Credits
- Users will get a unique key that will be bind to their account, this key cannot be change nor edited
- Users that fail to use the correct key after 3 attempts will be blocked from their account to prevent abuse (Hacked account)
- Users that lost their SN (Secret Number) can still login but wont be able to change anything, a unique key can be retrieved by a admin
- Users that lost their account have to validate their account by a admin

Users logged into OSDS V4 will be kicked out of the control panel after 1 hour, to prevent other users to access the account
- This can be set by admins if they want too (Default: 3600 sec)

OSDS V4 will need to be installed on a new server with a clean DB (for now)
Until i or peter comes up with a "convert DB function"
- Tbl_user will not be used anymore (their is no need to use it)
- OSDS V4 DB will not work on V1-V2-V3

this sounds awfully familiar as well . . . .
dont get me wrong, i like janvier and his stuff, but he doesnt need to take ideas and scripts from other ppl, the ppl with them would prolly be more then happy to allow him to use if asked, and not to mention he seems smart enuff to come up with things himself, this is what errks me most, he has all the potential in the world, and ppl would hand stuff to him to make it better, but instead he just takes and puts his stamp on it
give credit where credit is due, ur a stand up guy, u should keep it that way, dont get all bent either janvier, it wasnt intended to **** you off or cut u down, i just want you to see the reality of the issue, ur an awesome coder, i would like you to stay that way legit is all, hate me if u must!

Ill make a test server, simple windows XP, mssql and XAMPP
with the osds V4 on it
it will display a DATE (a date that it was last updated, added new functions)
i will not make it public just yet, but post on here why you want to test, i know peter and deathmage are willing to test it, you dont have to ask 
If you want to test it, tell me why you want to test it, then ill give you all the info you need

Players can buy a "name change" for their character
Scroll of Guild Change
Same as name change
Clone Character:
Allows to "clone" a character....

thats pretty easy, make it check the user_bag for a count(windex) of acertain item id
if = 1
set new name in character, guild_char_info, friendlist table etc (else the char will loose guild/friends)
delete from user_bag where windex = itemid
if > 1
set new name in character, guild_char_info, friendlist table etc (else the char will loose guild/friends)
delete first from user_bag where windex = itemid
if < 1
dont allow namechange
it's thats 'kinda' how i handle the legend quest (requires players to do stuff ingame) on my server
clone character can be achieved abusing an existing stored procedure CHAR_COPY_

Im like really nubish at making a server and was wondering if any1 could post a tutorial on how to setup it up?
I ran the dekaron auto server start thing, and everything said it was rdy, but then when i went back 2 my windows 7 and ran the dekaron difference files that i had downloaded (with the loginlist, and channelist at 127.0.0.1) it says cannot connect 2 server?:confused:
Did i do somthing wrong?:confused:
(everything in my server files is also set to 127.0.0.1, i dont think that makes...
