600,300 error?

I have seen somebody say about this error before but I can't for the life of me find the thread, any way server is running ports are open I can login etc on my computer but my brother gets this 600.300 error what is it and how do I fix it?

There's a problem with the characters on the account. Most commonly this happens when you try to create a character. If you check the database you'll notice a lot of null data on the characters you are trying to log in to.

There's a few reasons why character creation may be bugged.

1) SP_CHAR_CREATE

Check this SP. You may have configured it correctly. Make sure you set up the new characters correctly (I set up mine differently so I won't go into detail, alternative methods are probably somewhere on this board, though)

To fix this you can try copying a clean SP_CHAR_CREATE or use one from the board.

2. Missing [DEV] Characters

The default characters that the SP_CHAR_CREATE clones to create new characters (basically a mold) are missing. Go into the character.dbo.user_character table and check for [DEV]Knight [DEV]Hunter etc.

If they are missing just add them or restore a clean database.

Thank you for replying, this particular game etc is very very new to me and so is everything with it, I'm used to looking into C# type of projects. How would I go about checking SP_CHAR_CREATE? I mean where do I look?

I have to admit I deleted all of the characters in the database (8000+) and just left my own in there so could that be the problem? I just thought it would be better without 8k+ characters in the database.

If you wrote a generic cleaning script to wipe the character db then your most likely missing the dev chars.

600,300 is missing Dev characters once you add them in the error will be gone unless you do it wrong ofc.

600,300 is a incomplete character. not a missing character lol . try add <NULL> in some columns at ur char . it will show up 600,300 at login

The same error occurs with missing default [DEV] characters too.
