What do you need to be ?
Well if you have a goliath, vengeance or aegis/citadel you'll be fine, ofcourse its better if you're full lf3 but if you are a botter that shouldn't be a problem.
And if you are in the strongest company, the one wich 'rules' in 5.3 you have a relatively small chance of getting killed.
You can collect faster with your pet and with a bigger cargo in your ship (so you can collect longer before going back to sell them.
