Are you talking about Dark Orbit or UW?
For Dark Orbit, I'm pretty sure they don't work (mostly because of the packet changing)

For UW if you want to avoid HoneyBoxes, use KillBot. It's a smart bot that doesn't pickup the honeyboxes..
