[GUIDE]How to set your project to 32bit only
This is a simple short guide to show people how to force their projects to build in 32bit and fix any libeay32.dll issues they may be encountering.
Express Users Must Peform These Steps First!
Quote:
1. Go to Tools | Options...
2. Select the "Projects and Solutions" node in the tree.
3. Check the "Show advanced build configurations" checkbox
Note: If the above doesn't make sense there's an additional step you need to take between #'s 2 and three:
Make sure that the "Show All Settings" check box is checked in the options form (below the box that displays the tree view). By default the top level nodes visible in the tree view are: Environment, Text Editor and Debugging. Once you check the "Show All Settings" box you will see the Project and Solutions node as well as Database Tools and Windows Form Designer).
|
Step 1
Open project in Visual Studio like normal.
Step 2
Then on the top bar click on the drop down menu show bellow and select Configuration Manager:
Step 3
Select the Action Solution Platform drop down menu, and click New:
Step 4
In the New Solution Window, select the x86 Platform, and leave the rest of the settings the same, click Ok.
Once you have clicked ok, the new Platform will be applied for all of your projects within your solution, click Close to complete your changes to Configuration Manager.
The first time you build your project it may take a while, because it has to make adjustments for the new platform.
Any problems please post, and don't forget to press thanks.

Nice guide Korvacs, easy thing, but it will stop a lot of problems.
Easy, but efficient, the way I like it.

2008 is the latest full version available, you can get the 2010 beta.
But the full version of 2008 isnt free, so i dunno where you got that idea from. Dreamspark requires you to be a member of a registered school.

Im taking some courses on a collage within IT, and it gives me access to MSDNAA, so i get all kinda software for free.
That pluss im working as an IT apprentice on the same collage, that also gives me access to MSDNAA.
