You might have an anti-virus on your computer that deletes files and messes up the download. Most anti-viruses think that patches 5006 - 5065 are viruses.

got it to start downloading ... 7KB/sec (havn't seen download speed like this for quite some time now ). but its dling! cheers...

Either use a cracked Conquer.exe and server.dat and run directly from Conquer.exe NOT play.exe

Or

Use Nullables loader [Hint]Search function[/Hint]

Or change the version.dat so that it reads 9999, the oldest and simplest way to avoid autopatching, you could also change the autopatch options so that it contacts a different server and just fails, but the 9999 fix will never fail you.
