I wrote the source for TrueConquer.net and they are also targeting classic features but with higher rates compared to mine (also on a higher patch so it supports arena)

Might be an option if you're looking for somewhere to try. They are EU though.

Fully aware apex isn't for everyone. It's intended for those who have no interest in these higher rate servers. We'll have plenty coming in the upcoming months for those who want something a bit easier though *cough* spoiler *cough*
