How to go about searching for memory addresses

I've bypassed gameguard but have no clue how to find attack speed addresses and whatnot with cheat engine.

Could anyone help out?

You simply don't do that in Cheat Engine.

attack speed address?? you think they just throw in random variables to algorithms to make them more hackable?
you'll have to find the animation states and edit the playback routine for them to run faster.
that said, attack speed is server controlled.

Idk about BnS as I have not touched it with CE or whatever memory editing tool.
But back then in cabal, you search for 0 & 1 by doing sit & stand & jump. Until you find the animation addy. I could be wrong, memory is hazy but this is what I remembered.

Hint 1: No such thing as "Cooldown", they call it "Recycle"
Hint 2: QueryPerformanceCounter is your friend.
Hint 3: It's part of a ptr off the actor struct, and it isn't just for skills, it's for any action that has a given recycle group.


Which "Position" are you using for the actors? The 3x WORD one? Or the bone matrices near the sprint value?

It's possible to edit things like this through editing files in xml.dat.

Not sure what you're talking about with this position and actor stuff. I can't say I'm much of a hacker, I was just lucky enough to find the exploit on some russian website using google fu.

I found some animation pointers using this.

This is all I can find. Hell, if I get enough help here I'll just release the stupid gameguard exploit. NCWest won't patch it for like a month anyway.

Well, instead of releasing the bypass.
Release the method you use to find the address. Let the community work after that. ;P

Yeah. I think all I can really do is try things myself until I get it. I wish I knew **** about assembly.

Start by creating a new thread for your tutorials & findings. That will make this section more lively, so to speak.
I dont do hacks. Never did but I'm always interested to what people come up.

Bone matrixes near the groundspeed values are the map locations and height. I'm still figuring out a way to get which of those are for height.
