The script he wrote will Decrypt the encryption/encrypted ini / txt files in Archlord directories on your drive.. I had issues converting them back too...

can we get a bump on this one I'd like to see the re-encryption bug worked out if possible. I get random ascii characters as well.

ive done it with tiptext i think( text bar at the top with hints) that works fine

i think the game checks the fimportant files with files at there side or something
i changed the itemtemplate file to give normal armour 999 basic def power

It just changes things client side. If you wanted to make a neat looking screenshot you could edit all the variables to look insane or change the price of body mods. It doesn't actually edit anything but YOUR client. You still have to pay the same price and don't get the bonuses you apply.

I was always curious about which parts of character creation were fully client side. I mean you are clicking what you want, and I doubt that the server would relay each click letting them know you can't make up your mind. Additionally the templates for new characters data and images is all on client upon install, so nothing really goes through until you click create.

This is the way I was thinking of it ^^ Let me know whatyou think or correct me

Also I posted before, in the new carachter creation templates there is the data for a 4th class - monster or something like that maybe for the mods/admins ^^

Yea it's code = 11 for Monster, as far as I see there is no other mention of them. You can mod the template all you want there is still a server check when you create it and we don't seem to have access to that. I've looked at every ini file, it's possible to edit them but it's client side only.


Here are the numbers and what they stand for in the character profiles.

11 = Monster

96 = Human Knight

1 = Human Archer

6 = Human Mage

4 = Orc Berserker

8 = Orc Ranger

3 = Orc Sorcerer

460 = Moon Elf Ranger

9 = Moon Elf Elementalist

1276 = Archlord

modify it, do w/e you want with it then do

decryptINI.exe charactertemplateskillsound.ini_

this will produce charactertemplateskillsound.ini__
rename it back to charactertemplateskillsound.ini

u dont need open the program, put the ini file in the decryptINI.exe with u r mouse.
