Decrease of latency by 80-160ms
For Windows XP:
Only requires you to change two things in the windows registry, allowing your ping to drop by 80-175MS.
Process :
Start>RUN>regedit>ENTER
1)
In the regedit window ( called "Registry Editor") find (EDIT>FIND):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic
es\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\
There will be multiple NIC interfaces listed in there, find the one you use to connect to the internet, there will be several interfaces listed (they have long names like (6DBA9DEN-7AOE-4C03-B60F-ADB1777C41D4). Click each one of them, the right one will have lots of settings in it and you will see your machines IP address listed there somewhere. Right-click in the right hand pane and add a new DWORD value, name it TcpAckFrequency, then right click the entry and click Modify and assign a value of 1.
2)
In the regedit window ( called "Registry Editor") find (EDIT>FIND):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSMQ\Paramet
ers
Right-click in the right hand pane and add a new DWORD value, name it TCPNoDelay, then right click the entry and click Modify and assign a value of 1.
Click Ok and close the registry editor, then reboot your PC.
That's all.
Don't forget to make a backup of your registry before.
For Windows Vista:
If you are unable to find the MSMQ subkey under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft node there is a good reason for that. Actually, by default, MSMQ subkey does not exist in Windows Vista OS. However, if you want to change it to improve ICMP (Ping) behavior, you can add it manually.
For your convenience, I provide a method here:
1) Create a new Text Document (*.txt).
2) Copy and paste the following contents (without the equal mark "===") into the Text Document.
================================================== ==========
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSMQ]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSMQ\Paramet ers]
"TCPNoDelay"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSMQ\Paramet ers\OCMset up]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSMQ\Paramet ers\Securi ty]
"SecureDSCommunication"=dword:00000000
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSMQ\Paramet ers\setup]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSMQ\Setup]
================================================== ==========
3) Save and close the Document.
4) Change the file extension *.txt to *.reg. (Note: if you are unable to view the file extension, please double-click Computer, click Tools menu > Folder Options > on the View tab, clear the checkbox before "Hide extensions for known file type" > click OK.)
5) Double-click the *.reg file (Note: If prompted, please click Continue on the User Account Control (UAC) window.) You'll get a registry editor warning stating "Are you sure you want to continue", please click Yes.

This does work. Dropped my pings from ~400 to my maximum low of 200.
Aussie friend went from ~1200 to ~300

thanks for the link for the little program, but i dont think it has done anything
i went onto and
and they showed no improvement.
it has done one thing tho
it froze my computer after i restarted it and i was logging in
then i restarted my computer and as it was loading windows it froze again -__-
but now its fine...i guess
im not sure if i should keep this program
programs that edit your registry are known for causing major problems even tho they claim to make your computer cleaner/faster ect

the leatrix worked great for my desktop, but messed up my laptop so i had to uninstall it (i know it shouldnt mess it up, but after an hr or so using it (and got it from the same site that my desktop one was from)). Overall tho, worked really well on the desktop, made hitting my tighter chain skills a lot easier

Latency Fix
01/07/2010 - 9Dragons - 3 Replies
If you're using your skills and there's a 1-2 second delay before your character uses the skill you can attempt to 'fix' it by downloading and installing Leatrix Latency Fix.
It made my skills response time much faster, every time I go to cast a nuke now the game almost instantly starts using the skill. Give it a try if you're getting a lot of lag issues.
You will need to restart your computer after you've installed it.

No idea if anyone has any ideas. I hear ppl want to play on those chinese servers. currently im playing in region 6 where those free 2 play servers are. im wondering if its only me or are those servers ultra laggy? i mean if all those servers suckt that bad even with pay 2 play why bother playing?:D
lil question aside from it. is there a way to improve my latency ?
