4Story Packet Editor

Hey guys,

I've finally updated the packet editor!
It's completly recoded and should work better now.

Tested on 4Story GF/Global.

Set up:
  1. Extract the files
  2. Put the .ini into the 4Story folder
  3. Create a new folder in the 4story folder called "Packets"
  4. Use an injector of your choice and start 4story
  5. Press F11 ingame to show the editor

Main Window


Buttons (from left to right)
  • Start/Stop the logger
  • Clear the log
  • Opens the settings window
  • Opens the blocker window
  • Opens the injecting window
  • Export a packet ( to the folder "Packets" in the 4Story folder with the packet name ).
  • Bruteforce a packet (only if needed)
  • Opens the about window

Settings Window


Hooking:
  • Send: The send function gets hooked
  • Receive: The receive function gets hooked

Loging:
  • Send: The sent packets gets logged
  • Receive: The received packets gets logged

Filter-Type:
  • Ignore: Ignores all the packets from the list
  • Only: Loggs only the packets from the list

If the checkbox "Enabled Filter" is checked, the packets will be filtered.

Block-Window


Injection-Window


Packets are in the "Packets" folder in the 4Story folder.

Send Packets
Select a packet ( ONLY SENDABLE PACKETS )!!
The Editbox contains the number in milliseconds to wait before sending the packet ( don't troll with it.. )

If you added all packets you've wanted then press Send and every packet will be send.

Receive Packets
Select a packet of your choice and press add.


Don't fuck up 4Story with this :P

i'm not sure whether all the people here can use it. e.g. i dont know what advantage it would have to stop some packets. maybe someone can explain which effect it would have and what would be possible with it.
i'm sure it's really hard work to release something like that, very impressive !

Damit kannst du Pakete welche zwischen dem Server und dem Client gesendet werden abfangen und editieren.

Achso okey danke aber eine Frage habe ich noch und zwar ist es damit möglich Items zu verkaufen und immer noch zu behalten oder ähnliches ?

I put the PacketInfo.ini in the same location as thr 4story.exe correct? Because that's where I have it now, and even after injecting the dll into 4story.exe the PE doesn't open after launch. I'm presumably doing something very wrong so can anyone tell me exactly what I am doing wrong?

Okay that's kind of weird, but hold on i'm back from my study trip and i do my best to update the editor ( yeah i've started working on Version 2.0 !! just thinking about new features etc. )

This is my current list for the 2.0 Editor, maybe you've got some extra ideas:
